After being elected in December 2008, Dr. Vargas is the current Vice President and Representative to the House of Delegates for the Aquatic Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Additionally, he was appointed Federal Affairs Liaison for this APTA Section. Dr. Luis G. Vargas is the author of the book “Aquatic Therapy: Interventions and Applications”, published by Idyll Arbor, Inc. in January 2004. He continues to serve as an experienced academician and professor of physical therapy at all academic levels particularly the doctoral entry level. His true passion continues to be Aquatic Rehabilitation to which he continues to devote his scholarship and professional creativity as an expert and specialist. He continues to carry a busy schedule of presentations, workshops and lectures at national and international events.
